Potato, Garlic and Rosemary Bread
Method
By BakerTom
With the cold January nights upon us this is an hearty bread to bake to serve with winter casseroles. I love making this bread, the dough is so soft to handle and the smell of the garlic as it bakes is incredible.
1. Mix the flour, salt, yeast, cooked potatoes, garlic and rosemary and combine. Then add your water.
2. Mix all the Ingredients well to form a dough. Turn your dough onto your work surface, it should be sticky but don't be tempted to add more flour. Kneed well for 10 mins, your dough should feel elastic, silky and smooth when ready.
3. Leave the dough to rest in a bowl for one hour, covered.
4. After one hour, shape the dough and place onto a baking tray. pre-heat your oven 220C
5. Leave your bread for another hour or until double in size, slash the top of the bread and place into the preheated oven for 35 - 45 minutess until golden brown.
6. Remove from oven and leave to cool.
